Task Two: Planning and Produce Materials

1. Individual calendars to events

These are the monthly Calendars:

This first picture is a months calendar of what needs to happen for the event to run smoothly. This is just a rough estimate of what needs to happen. As you can see on this picture most of the work has to be done this month as the show is the following month.

On this calendar I have two weeks before the event starts.  This week has to be the final drafts.

2. Team Minutes

On the first week I needed to go up to Reprographics ask Carl to help me and the Marketing team design the poster. On the Monday I went to see Carl with Ideas and he said that we will design something. He told me to come back on the following Monday. This set some of my deadlines back a week. Also in this week I needed to get a picture of dancers to put into the guardian and onto Priestley website.

In this week I had a meeting with Andrew Moore's who works for the local guardian news Paper where I told him what the event is about and what pieces of dance will be there. I also got the poster back and there needed to be changes to it and carl said it will take two days.
I went back to Carl and the poster had been finished and I said that the tickets need to be done

4. Individual Job Role Media Evidence and Documentation

Final Poster Design

This Poster is the FINAL poster that we used for the event. This took over three weeks to Design and there have been many different drafts. One reason why it is on white paper is so that it stands out. Also the picture on the poster is a symbol of movement and the fact that this is a dance show fits within the theme. The poster clearly marks the ticket prices where the venue is at and what the show is called.

First Design Idea

This Design was the first design made. One reason for not using this design was because 'Amalgamation' was not easy to read. I know this because I asked members of class and not many could read what it said. Also there was not any directions on the poster as this venue is not the easiest to find.

Second Design Idea

The 2nd design that was designed was better as you could read 'Amalgamation'. The only problem again was the fact that there where know directions and on the right side of the poster looked bare. Other than that the poster looked very effective.

Amalgamation Tickets

These are the tickets for the show the top ticket was for the first night, one reason why you would know this is because the date is in red and for the following night the date and ticket price is in the colour blue. On the left side the tickets are perforated this is so that the front of house team can easily rip the ticket and keep the small tag. The front of house team keep the little tab because they need to count how many audiences member there are.
