Evidence of the Event and My Job Role
Setting up the Camera in different Rooms
Making sure the position of the camera was in the right place so you could see all angles of the room as this was a dance show and dancers move around the space.
As you can see here On the day on the event I didn't really have much to do as the posters and flyers had been out for weeks. There were only two things I could which was put signs up around Arley Hall (Car Parking and Programmes) Also as the Marketing Manager on the night I was planning on filming the event so we could then sell the show to make more money.
Adherence to H&S - Tutor Observation/ Witness Statement
GC4- Reschedule Event
Unfortunately the Event had to be cancelled due to bad weather and we lost power. The event still had to happen as the dancers and the crew had to be assessed on this event and tickers had been sold. One problem was we had lost the venue so we decided to have the event at college. A problem that we faced was at Arley Hall we were using different rooms so dancers could dances in different rooms at the same time, this is called promenade Theatre.
The event had to change quite a lot from the programmes to the posters and signing. So I had to liase again with reprographics so they could help me change the posters. The posters were key as they needed to be changed around places such and college and town to the new posters with the new information and the dates and time. Also I had to liase with the dance teachers and not all the dance pieces could have been shown because there wasn't enough time and we were only using one room instead of three. Once the posters had been changed and been put up around different areas I then had the change the programme.
The programme had to be changed a lot as like I said before not all dance pieces were being shown. The programme took the most time as dancers could not attend for different reasons and some dances included more than once dancers. The programme finally got completed on the day of the event and had to be printed on the same day. I had to make sure there were enough programmes for the audiences and had to cut them into the right size.
The biggest problem that we faced was the fact that not all of the audience knew that the event had been cancelled and because we were in the middle of know where we didn't have any signal to tell all. So the next day in college I send emails out saying why the event was cancelled and when and where the event is changing too.
Unfortunately, I didn't really have time to finish the programme to fit in with the theme of the posters and the signage because not everyone was certain about the programme list until the day. I had to get one of the first years to produce a programme that was in black and white which kind of fitted in with the theme.
Overall the event ran smoothly at college it was just it felt runshed as there wasn't really much planning time as the event got Rescheduled. The hardest part was getting the new posters out and informing the audience.
